        ANNUAL REPORT 2017 - 2018

Presented before the august assembly gathered

on 11/01/2017 On the occasion of Annual day celebration.

Honourable chairman distinguished Guests, members of the Vidyalaya Management committee, Members of the staff, Parent Teacher Council members, Dear parents, press reporters and beloved Children.

On this Pleasant morning, it gives me an immense Pleasure to welcome you all for the Annual Day Celebrations.

It is my Privilege to brief you all about the activities and achievements of this Vidyalaya during the academic year 2016-17.

Navodaya Vidyalaya samiti is, an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and was established by the government of India in 1986, under NEP (New Education Policy) of 1986 to provide good Quality Modern Education, to the talented children of predominantly from rural areas, without any consideration to their Family socio, economic conditions.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Krishnapuram, Nellore, had its birth in a humble manner in residential buildings in 1986. Ever since its birth it has hatched out 23 batches.

During the current academic year, the school boards and educates 449 Children, out of which 279 are boys & 170 are Girls and 03 girls and 7 boys of staff

Academic Performance:-

Through a systematic academic planning, activity oriented lessons, and unit wise testing and C.C.E (continuous comprehensive evaluation), remedial Classes, action plan for low Achievers and retesting after every unit, the School is trying its best to achieve Academic excellence.

All the students from class VI to class X  completed FA1 ,FA2 ,FA 3 and SA1 Exam and  4 U.Ts and T.T-1  for class XI /XII also completed. Each class achieved 100% pass.

Technology Aided Teaching & learning (ICT):

With a view to cope up with the ever altering learning process, and to avoid the boredom of the traditional method of learning, computer aided learning has been given the utmost importance. In the well-furnished Multi Media centre with 41 computers, PGT(IT), and  FCSA and Teachers trained in computers under Project Siksha are adopting and supplementing this objective.

Apart from Multi Media each department of this vidyalaya has got one system

Our Vidyalaya has Samsung Smart room, with latest Laptops loaded with the softwares incorporated with animations and rare pictures , servers, broad brand, LCD projectors, laser & Ink Jet printers televisions and Digital Cameras.

All subjects are taught in smart computer room with separate Time Table.

Children are given access to educative, Informative and entertaining programmes  with the help of TATA Sky connection at regular intervals.

TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR TEACHERS:

To keep pace with changing times, teachers of this Vidyalaya are given training from time to time at various venues.

Myself (Mr. Rajan.N.P. principal of the Vidyalaya) attended a work shop on “Safety And Security And Adolescent Mental Health Issues” held at NLI Hyderabad from 09/09/2014 to 13/09/2014.

Mr. M. Arumugam PGT English attended a workshop on “ASL English PGTs & TGTs English at NLI Guntur on 08/01/2014.

Mr. Adi Narayana Reddy PGT Maths attended a workshop on Effective Class room management for PGTs at NLI Guntur form 04/08/2014 to 08/08/2014.

Mrs. T.S. Dhanya PGT Biology attended a workshop for Master Trainer on Adolescence education program at JNV Mysore  from 12/05/2014 to 17/05/2014.

Mr.B.Jagan Pet attended 21 days Induction course for newly recruited PETs at NLI Hyderabad form 04/07/2014 to 24/07/2014.

Mr. J. Hemanth Kumar Office Superintendent attended workshop value education at RIMSE Mysore  from 10/11/2014  to  19/11/2014.

Mr. J. Prudhvi Raj LDC attended workshop on induction course for LDCs at JNV Mysore from 24/11/2014 to 29/11/2014.

PACE SETTING ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:

1.     Dr. C. Ram Prasad deputy DM & HO Udayagiri cluster Dr. N. Koteswara Rao ophthalmic officer,community health nutrition officer , udayagiri and Shri Sk.Akbar bhasha Health Supervisor PHC Marripadu –graced the celebration Dr.N.Koteswara Rao Ophthalic officer impressed upon the importance of health and specified of the eyes and briefed about the wrap of maintaining it.

2.     Foundation Day Celebration

On the Occasion of celebration of foundation day on 13th april 2016 a Science exhibition was conducted which introduced by Shri. Raj Kumar additional joint collector and the parents and children of neighboring vidyalaya

3.     Quit India day was Observed on 9th of August 2016 Rally was conducted the children of class IX went to krishnapuram center and recited the slogans and public about Quit India Day.

4.     World Literacy day was observed on 8th of September 2016.a Rally was conducted and the children of class X went on procession to krishnapuram center reciting the slogans improving upon the importance of education.

5.    Swacch Bharat fort night was celebrated 9th November to 23rd November Mr.M.siva Sankar (HM & MRP) of Govt. CPS school Krishnapuram.gave message on the importance of cleanliness.

6.    The prestigious programme “Communal harmony week “ was celebrated from 19/11/2016 to 25/11/2016.The students of class VIII participated in a rally and went to Krishnapuram centre

7.    An AIDS rally was conducted by all the VIII class students on 01/12/2016 at the nearby village to educate the villagers about the causes and remedies for AIDS.

School Library:

Our School has a rich and voluminous library with valuable books – 8433 and 27 periodicals published in three languages and seven prominent Dailies.

National Book week was celebrated from 14/11/2015 – 20/11/2015.

Scouts & Guides:

1.    T. Lohit Sai (Scout) XI, M. Mounika (Guide) XI are participated in adventure course on leadership, team building and disaster management oragnisation by Everest Foundation held at Manali from 8th Oct to 13th Oct.

2.    On 7th Nov, 2016 Scout & Guides of this Vidyalaya observed Bharath Scout & Guides Foundation day and fund raising prograsmme by selling of flags.

3.    On 30th Nov, 2016, Scout & Guides of this Vidyalaya observed Communal Harmony flag day fund collected by distributing flags to the public and explained the importance of the Communal Harmony

A unit of Bharat Scouts & Guides functions efficiently under the guidance of the Scout Master, Sri.G.Janaki Reddy & Guide Captain Smt.P.SATHYA PET(L).

NCC:

Our school has NCC 100 Cadets for both Boys & Girls Under 24th Andhra NCC Battalion named UNIT : 447 JNV KRISHNAPURAM under the guidance of NCC Care taker  Mr.JAYA Kumar verma .The NCC cadets under took the following camps during this academic year 2016-17

1.    CATC-V  NCC Camp (27.07.2016 – 05.08.2016) 10 days.

CELEBRATIONS:

As in the past different national and religious festivals like Independence Day, Republic Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, Teachers Day, Ganesh chathurthi, Ambedkarjayanthi, ……etc were  celebrated with solemnity and joy at the Vidyalaya.

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi and Lal Bahudar Sashtri Swach Bharat Swach vidyalaya Abhiyan campaign started on 2nd October 2014 to November 2014. Various activities carried out such as posters making, poem recitation, skits film shows etc.. to inculcate habits of cleanliness among the students. Sramadhan and oath taking was done by the students and the staff  on 02.10.2014.  

On the occasion of international white cane day a demand draft of Rs2200/- was sent from J.N.V Nellore to educate visually challenged child.

Vigilance awareness week was observed from 27.10.2014 to 01.11.2014. The Chief guest Shri. Vijay Bhaskar,Circle Inspector of udayagiri gave an exhaustive lecture on corruption and suggested urgent measures for eliminating it.

National education day was observed on 11.11.2014 in M.P Hall and various programmes related to importance of education were displayed and also  highlighting the contributions of our first education minister Shri.Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad in a befitting manner.

 

Service matters:

The vacant posts of PGT Chemistry, PGT physics, PGT Geography, PGT Hindi PGT IT, TGT Hindi, Music teacher and FCSA were filled up on contract basis.

SPORTS &GAMES (NVS National sports & Games participants and winners):

I am glad to inform you that Cluster level ball games meet was are held  in our vidyalaya. At about 06 ball games were conducted and totally 300 participants took part in the meet and out of which 220 were selected for regional from our Nellore cluster out. I am happy to inform you that out of this 220 selected,  56 were our children. Out of these 56 regional selected candidates 04 were selected for nationals that comes out to be 7% of regional selected candidates

On the other side out of 37 candidates who were participated in  field games held at JNV Kadapa, 25 were selected for regional’s out of which 06 were selected for nationals  and I am Very proud to inform you that one student Kum. A.Navyatha of class VIII was selected for SGFI in KABADDI,

In case of cluster level athletic meet held at JNV Chittoor, 06 students were selected out of 19 participants and one was selected for national  24% of regional selected candidates.

Over all out of 85 cluster participants 11 were selected for nationals that comes out to be 13% and 1 selected for SGFI that is 0.01%

As dwelling in the past achievements is not going to improve our future  performance let me throw some light on my future plans for bettering the achievements

So I have planned to double the percentage of students selected  for nationals that is 26% and SGFI by 5%

 

Participation in Extra Mural competitions:

     National Science Congress:

              National Science Congress is the programme organized by Samiti to improve scientific thinking and scientific temper  in children. From our school four students  were selected for National Science Congress  and presented their projects held at  JNV GUNTUR.

     Regional Science Congress:

SONY PRIYA G OF CLASS IX attended the regional children congress at IISc Bangalore

On the occasion of Shri.Ramanujam Birthday on 22nd December  National Maths week was observed from 16th December to 22nd December 2014 at our Vidyalaya. Various competitions such as Quiz contest,

Essay Writing competitions and Origami were conducted and many students got Prizes and

PARENT TEACHERS COUNCIL

PARENT TEACHER COUNCIL MEETING is conducted on every second Saturday of every month to discuss the developmental process and various problems faced by the students. I am thankful to the PTC for giving full co-operation &contribution for cement concrete construction  at dormitories.

The parent Mr.Riaz of master SK.AFZAL of class VII B volunteered and paid the amount of Rs 30,000/- and also took the complete responsibility of  cleaning/ removal of the unwanted bushes in the campus using JCB with the coordination of  Mr.KMR TGT (MAT)

Once again, I thank to all the PTC members and other donors for their kind support.

MIGRATION POLICY:

As part of the Migration policy NVS, 30% of the total number of students who are studying in class 9th are migrated to Hindi Speaking districts of India for the promotion of National integration. Accordingly the students of our Vidyalaya migrated to JNV SIRSA, Odhan (Dt.) of Haryana every year. It is a pleasing experience to observe children of different states of India living together and sharing rich culture and learning.

Alumni Meet 2016 – 17:

A get together of the Alumni of the Vidyalaya, was organized every year ,IInd week of December 14.12.2016. Accordingly, Alumni were invited to share their experiences with their friends over here to inspire and encourage our students. The following Alumni showed their gratitude by presenting the needy items for the vidyalaya.  Mr.Suman of IInd  batch A fish entrepreneur by profession donated a Pulverizer costing  20,000 to Vidyalaya Mess and Mr.Pradeep Kumar T of 22ND batch an entrepreneur of sanitary wares    donated 40 Indian style commodes and 20 Urinals last year (2015-16) and donated two sets portable Badminton poles with nets

Conclusion:

We are very grateful to the Honorable district collector & VMC Chairman, for his constant support towards the management of the Vidyalaya. I thank all the parents for their support and active participation. I also thank PTC members for their tremendous support whenever I demanded from them. I thank all my colleagues who work with untiring zeal and dedication. And above all the almighty for His abundant blessings.
